L A O S - Luang Prabang

Second week of our travel last months we went to Luang Prabang in Laos.
More than 30 Buddhistical Monasteries are an important part of this lovely small town.

The clocks run slower in this city...

The second time in our life we met the wonderful river Mekong.
(First time in Cambodia, Phnom Peng)
The Mekong runs more than 1800 kilometer through Laos.
Luang Prabang is embraced by the Mekong and his tributary Nam Khan.
So everywhere you go you end at the river (s)...
It´s a good idea to rest at the river during the whole day but mostly at sunset, magical moments are promised...
And there we promised to visit the Mekong Delta one day...

I truly fell in Love with this peaceful city and the very charming people.
Life is unagitated at every moment.
As you know my love for colors I get giddy with excitement while visiting the night market.
C o l o r s and wonderful handicraft!
And you don´t have to miss the "Khao Nom Kok" Dessert,
a sweet coconut cake. I could die for it....

Those four days where totally relaxed and we promised to come back to sweet Laos one day...

Love J.

Gran reportaje. Unas costumbres tan diferentes a las occidentales y sin embargo tan cercanas.
Cordiales saludos
